Remote Access

Employees may access their work desktop computer from an off-campus or home computer that has a Remote Desktop application installed. Using a remote access service is the preferred method for employees needing to work off-campus. Only images, keystrokes, and mouse clicks actually are sent to the remote computer; no data are transmitted or stored on the remote computer. Use of USB keys and CDs to move data between off-campus and on-campus computers is vulnerable to security breaches and is strongly discouraged.

In order to do this, the employee's work computer must be dedicated to use by the requesting employee. Send a request to SAIT to have remote access configured for your work computer.
